Dave and Judy Smith are the proud owners of this farm and homestead. The farm produces export quality citrus. As your hosts they love to welcome you as guests and to make your stay in their accommodation a pleasant one. Avoca, means "The meeting of the waters ".

Location

Situated amongst the roses in the valley known for elephants! Avoca River Cabins is in tranquil surroundings along the Sundays River in the Eastern Cape - South Africa. This is a working Citrus Farm with accommodation. The closest city is Port Elizabeth. The towns of Addo and Kirkwood allow guests the opportunity to do shopping. The Addo Elephant Park is a 25km drive from the farm.

Description

Accommodation is in the well known Tree House, Ethnic Mud Huts, in the Wood Cabins and in the Self-catering Chalets. We have self-catering with Breakfast & supper as extra options.

The Mud Huts share hot showers/toilets and a fully equipped "Lapa Style" Kitchen. This is along the river where there is an abundance of fish and birdlife. Canoeing on the river and scenic walks through the citrus orchards are inclusive of the price.

A path leads down from the lush garden to a small Bush Camp overlooking the river where 2 Wooden Cabins nestle in a sheltered clearing. Each hut has a private hot shower & a toilet. They share an equipped "Lapa" or kitchen.

Gymnogene, an equipped private chalet, now part of the camp, has its own bathroom & kitchen. The camp leads out onto a deck that looks out over the river and mountains. A great place for sundowners!

The fully-equipped thatched Chalets are along the river. Avoca has the opportunity to provide accommodation for Back Packers and holiday makers or the person looking for a one night stop. The accommodation is comfortable and clean.
