In a beautiful bay between Ifafa Beach and Mtwalume, on the South Coast of Kwa Zulu Natal, lies sweet Elysium (meaning ‘Heaven’).

Location |
|
The beach is wonderful for long walks and fishing. The main swimming area is 1 km away at Ifafa Beach. There is also a wonderful wetland area, which attracts a myriad of coastal birds and is a much sort after area for ornithologists.
Bass fishing is an inland attraction at the popular Tuckers dam.
Ski Boats launch at Rocky Bay and at Mtwalume.
Golf can be played at Selborne Country Estate. |

Description |
|
Elysium Bay is filled with Hump backed and Southern Right whales during the breeding seasons between May and November. Dolphins are also sighted in large pods. When the “Sardine Run” is on, Elysium sees her fair share of excitement as ski boats net the shoals in the bay and bring them in to shore on Elysium beach.
Elysium is 24 kms from Scottburgh, the main shopping and entertainment area, and is an out of the way, uncommercialised, little bit of ‘heaven’.
Just 1 hour from Durban on the N2 Southbound.
Take the Ifafa Beach/ Elysium turnoff.
Follow the sign post to Elysium.
Turn right at Dolphin Drive and go up the hill. At the T-junction you will see Millberry Hill Cottage directly in front of you.
Millberry Hill Cottage is a fairly newly built , double storied house with 4 bedrooms. Two bedrooms have double beds and two bedrooms have single beds. The upstairs section is ideal as a family room as it consists of a double bedroom with built in cupboards and an open plan bedroom with balcony and an en suite bathroom.
Downstairs consists of a large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room with sliding doors opening onto a large covered porch. There are sea views from every window.
The main bedroom and en suite is adjacent to the lounge.
The house also has a double carport and is fully fenced.
The kitchen is equipped with a large Defy stove, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier and a fridge/freezer.
Millberry Hill Cottage sleeps 8 people comfortably.
Linen is provided but towels must be brought from home. |
