The Lodge is ideally situated high up on the tranquil Berea in one of the cities well established up-market suburbs with splendid, breathtaking, panoramic views over Durban , the Indian Ocean and Africa’s biggest and busiest port. Centrally located and in easy reach of fine restaurants, shops, galleries, markets, theatres , beach 4 km, city 4km , ICC 4 km, airport 15 km, golf courses uShaka Island Aquarium (22 million litres) Victoria Indian Market and numerous tourist attractions, are all close at hand .The ideal stopover to the Drakensburg Mountains, Midlands Meander , Battle Fields , Hluhluwe and Umfolozi Game Parks .
Read a book , enjoy forty winks or laze beside the sun drenched, sparkling swimming pool set in landscaped sub-tropical gardens ringed with tall palm trees. It’s hard to imagine that you are in a city . In the evenings relax and leisurely enjoy sun-downers in the English pub and veranda
For dinner, we will gladly , advise, and make restaurant reservations for you to sample the diverse cuisine of the 32 restaurants, all within 2km of the Lodge
There are eight individual, stylishly decorated, double/twin en suite bedrooms each creating their own elegant character. Fully appointed with remote controlled air-conditioner, TV plus satellite, radio / alarm clock , direct dial telephone with e-mail connection , safety-deposit boxes , hair-dryer, crisp white “waffle cloth” bathrobes and towels , tea/coffee tray and biscuits , fresh fruit plus iced drinking water. Six of the bedrooms have private entrances leading onto the garden.
A full hearty South African plus a Continental buffet breakfast with a choice of cheeses, breads and rolls, cold meats, pates, fresh fruit and yoghurt are served along with the finest of teas and coffees .
Plenty of secure off-street and limited lockup parking is provided for behind remote controlled electric gates and security fencing
