COUNTRY CUISINE
Our country cuisine centers around products sourced from local suppliers in the Dargle and Midlands area –local pork and chicken products supplied from nearby farms, organic fruit and vegetables, herbs and citrus grown in our country garden are all utilized in our kitchen. On fine days we serve breakfast and lunch in the gardens or, of course you can enjoy a decadent champagne breakfast in bed.
Our A La Carte restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. We emphasise delightfully prepared and served, healthy, wholesome farm fare and offer a festive place to entertain your guests.
ACCOMODATION AND RATES
We offer 7 luxurious, individually decorated upstairs en-suite bedrooms as well as our horseman’s hide away rondaval which is situated in the gardens. All of our bedrooms feature hand picked vintage furniture to compliment the period building. All rooms have electric blankets for those chilly winter evenings.
WEDDINGS,CONFRENCES AND FUNCTIONS
We cater for small intimate weddings and functions in our elegant proven cal dinning room or alternatively a marquee can be set up in our landscape gardens for larger groups. A background in hotel management helps to provide you vide you with your individual requirements and create the perfect environment for special functions. Full bar and dinning facilities are available.
ACTIVITIES
The Midlands Meander has become a haven for artists, and there are a large variety of studios to visit in the area – from antique shops, hand made products, weaving, stained glass, leather shoes and many more …
Trout fishing can be organized, and guests have access to our own exclusive private walk and fly fishing along the banks of the Umgeni River.
There are 4 well known golf courses in the area for the golf enthusiast, as well as many fine dinning establishments.
